Football Recap: Fort Thomas Comes Up Short

If Fort Thomas was riding high fresh off their 38-0 takedown of Baboquivari last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Apaches were dealt a 70-28 loss at the hands of the Duncan Wildkats on Friday. The Apaches were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildkats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

PABLO RUIZ had an outrageously good game for Duncan as he threw for 340 yards and seven touchdowns while picking up 12.6 yards per attempt. RUIZ also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making seven total tackles and defending seven passes. 178 of RUIZ's passing yards were hauled in by MARK BEJARANO.

Fort Thomas dropped their record down to 1-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Duncan, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Fort Thomas will welcome Salome at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Duncan, they will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Valley Union at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
