Volleyball Recap: Carver Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Carver came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on Calvary Chapel Academy with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

While Carver won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 27-25, 25-13.

Carver's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Grace Hyland led the charge by getting 19 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Hyland has posted since back in September. Maeve Zakrzewski was another key player, getting ten kills and eight blocks.

Carver's record now sits at 13-2. As for Calvary Chapel Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven matches and leaves them with a 12-2 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carver will host Abington at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Calvary Chapel Academy, they will square off against St. John Paul II at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
