Basketball Game Recap: Salisbury Dragons vs. Worcester Prep Mallards

The Salisbury Dragons couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. The contest between Salisbury and Worcester Prep wasn't particularly close, with Salisbury falling 39-23. Salisbury lost against Worcester Prep in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 35-26 score last time.

Hayleigh Galeone was Salisbury's leading scorer, having posted nine points. Galeone held things down on the boards with eight rebounds.

Salisbury's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Worcester Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salisbury will square off against Early College at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Worcester Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Indian River at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
