The Charlevoix Rayders are taking a road trip to face off against the Kalkaska Blazers at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Charlevoix is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Charlevoix made easy work of Harbor Springs and carried off a 14-4 win. The victory continues a trend for the Rayders in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won three in a row.

Ayla Kemp was incredible, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Kemp is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least two every time she's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Cunningham, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

Meanwhile, Kalkaska was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 9-1 to Elk Rapids.

The win got Charlevoix back to even at 2-2. As for Kalkaska, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Charlevoix might still be hurting after the 7-1 loss they got from Kalkaska when the teams last played back in May of 2023. Can the Rayders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
