Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northtown). They blew past the Our Lady of Tepeyac Tigers 23-1 on Monday. Considering the Pumas have won four matchups by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Dayanara Marrero, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Leilani Mejia, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases and three runs.

The win was the fourth in a row for Northtown, bringing their record up to 4-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Our Lady of Tepeyac, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Northtown wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 18-10 defeat against Woodlands Academy on the 6th. As for Our Lady of Tepeyac, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 18-4 win against Christ the King on the 7th.
