Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Banning

Banning had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Narbonne on Wednesday. The Pilots put the hurt on the Gauchos with a sharp 8-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Pilots, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Isaac Martinez was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Pedro Ibanez-Eddy, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Banning kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive games.

Banning's record is now 15-8. As for Narbonne, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season.

Banning will have a chance to go back-to-back against Narbonne: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
