Football Recap: Erik Mickelson and Tahj Cole Pace Judge Memorial Catholic Defense

Judge Memorial Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 33-20 to the American Leadership Academy Eagles. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Although Judge Memorial Catholic took the loss, they still got scores from Michael Gibbons, Helaman Lautaha, and Kheari Lark.

Judge Memorial Catholic didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Erik Mickelson and Tahj Cole. Mickelson is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season. Judge Memorial Catholic received some extra help from Lautaha, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Judge Memorial Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for American Leadership Academy, their record now sits at 4-6.
