Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jake Johnson and Luis Placido Lead New Milford to Victory

New Milford was led to victory by Luis Placido and Jake Johnson. Placido almost dropped a double-double with 29 points and nine boards, while Johnson dropped a double-double with 21 points and 17 rebounds. Placido's evening made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Dariel Liranzo, who posted 18 points.

New Milford's victory bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Becton, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Milford will take on Dumont at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Becton, they will face off against Weequahic at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
