Softball Recap: St. Mary's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

After flying high against Arlington last Tuesday, St. Mary came back down to earth. The Cardinals lost 11-1 to the West Central Trojans on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost three in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, St. Mary fell to 2-1. As for West Central, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

Coming up, St. Mary will challenge Baltic at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Central, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 11-1 win against Dell Rapids on the 10th.
