Volleyball Recap: Saint Mary's Beats Albany for Their Third Straight Victory

Saint Mary had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Albany Cougars 3-0 on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-14, 25-18.

Kalaya Phung paced Saint Mary's offense, picking up 11 kills. Phung got some help from Isabella Garzo -Cuevas and her 15 assists. London Crawford controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Saint Mary's victory bumped their record up to 22-8. As for Albany, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-18.

Saint Mary's has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Mission San Jose on the 1st. Albany does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
