Baseball Recap: Saucon Valley Has No Trouble Against Bangor

Saucon Valley lost to Bangor back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. Saucon Valley was the clear victor by a 20-10 margin over Bangor. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Zak Ziegler was a standout: he scored three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Hubert, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances.

Saucon Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bangor only posted an OBP of .433.

Saucon Valley's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Saucon Valley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-5 victory against Southern Lehigh on the 25th. As for Bangor, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 11-4 loss against Northwestern Lehigh on the 25th.
