After flying high against Hubbard last Friday, Hickory came back down to earth. The Hickory Hornets took a 72-53 bruising from the Meadville Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Hornets' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Having lost for the first time this season, Hickory fell to 3-1. As for Meadville, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hickory will take on Erie in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meadville and Sharon will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sharon will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Meadville surely won't give up without a fight.
