Volleyball Recap: Vanguard Classical East Comes Up Short

Vanguard Classical East came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Aurora West College Prep Academy Spartans, falling 3-0. The Hawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Spartans earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

While Aurora West College Prep Academy got the win, Vanguard Classical East sure made them earn it: two sets took extra rallies. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 27-25, 26-24.

Vanguard Classical East has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season. As for Aurora West College Prep Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-12.

Vanguard Classical East does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Aurora West College Prep Academy, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against William Smith on the 29th.
