Baseball Recap: McEwen Comes Up Short

McEwen lost against Harpeth back in March of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The McEwen Warriors lost 10-4 to the Harpeth Indians. The Warriors' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row dating back to last season.

Kainan Gill was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

McEwen's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Harpeth, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McEwen is headed away from home for the first time to take on West Carroll at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. McEwen is facing West Carroll at the right time seeing as West Carroll is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Harpeth, they will face off against The Webb School at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Webb School is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
