Recap: Archbishop Shaw Eagles vs. Evangel Christian Academy Eagles
The Archbishop Shaw Eagles had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 20-13 win over Evangel Christian Academy on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for Archbishop Shaw who now have nine in a row.
Evangel Christian Academy's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Joshua Isaac, who rushed for 132 yards on only 12 carries. Another player making a difference was Parker Fulghum, who picked up 95 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Archbishop Shaw's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Evangel Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
Archbishop Shaw will take on Kennedy at TBD on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Kennedy: 5.7, Archbishop Shaw: 16) so any points scored will be well earned. Evangel Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
