Chadron not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 4th (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on the Gordon-Rushville Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on September 4th.

Chadron's got stronger as the match went on, holding Gordon-Rushville to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-16, 25-14.

Paige Slingsby paced Chadron's offense, picking up 12 kills. Slingsby got some help from Jenny Pinnt and her 37 assists.

The victory snapped Chadron's losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 10-8 record. As for Gordon-Rushville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Chadron and Gordon-Rushville could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Nebraska Rankings. The Cardinals will challenge Ogallala at 3:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (100 vs. 11). Meanwhile, Gordon-Rushville (ranked 231st) will meet Kadoka (ranked 62nd) at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
