Basketball Recap: Foundation Collegiate Academy Takes a Loss

Foundation Collegiate Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 64-59 heartbreaker at the hands of Kohelet Yeshiva. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-45 back in December of 2024.

Kohelet Yeshiva was led to victory by Chezky Levitt and Grant Provda. Levitt dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten boards, while Provda went 6 of 9 from beyond the arc on his way to 24 points and three steals. Levitt's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Hadar SimonHazani was another key player, putting up eight points.

Foundation Collegiate Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Kohelet Yeshiva, they moved to 6-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Foundation Collegiate Academy will host Mesivta at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Kohelet Yeshiva, they will take on Barrack Hebrew Academy at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday. Kohelet Yeshiva is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.2 points per game this season.
