Softball Recap: McCurdy Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when McCurdy took on Eunice on Friday. The Bobcats came up short against the Cardinals, falling 24-4. The Bobcats' loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Cassandra Martinez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

McCurdy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Eunice, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McCurdy will welcome Mora at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobcats will need to watch out since the Rangers/Rangerettes have now posted at least ten runs in their last four games. As for Eunice, they will be playing at home against Loving at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Cardinals their first taste of in-conference action this season.
