Basketball Recap: Tipton's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

After flying high against Midland last Thursday, Tipton came back down to earth. The Tipton Tigers took a 63-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Regina Regals on Friday. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Tipton now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Regina, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tipton will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Wilton at 5:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Tipton is facing Wilton at the right time seeing as Wilton is stuck on a six-game losing streak. Regina will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Durant at 5:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Regina knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Durant likes a good challenge.
