Basketball Game Preview: Clinton-Massie Falcons vs. Franklin Wildcats

The Clinton-Massie Falcons are taking a road trip to square off against the Franklin Wildcats at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Clinton-Massie will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Clinton-Massie needed a bit of extra time to put away Clermont Northeastern. They secured a 56-52 W over the Rockets.

Meanwhile, Franklin didn't have too much trouble with Eaton on Tuesday as they won 72-53. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while the Eagles are ranked 624th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Franklin and bumps their season record up to 11-6. As for Clinton-Massie, their record now sits at 6-11.

Clinton-Massie came up short against Franklin in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 61-51. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Franklin's Kai Cook, who went 10 for 17 en route to 31 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Now that Clinton-Massie knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
