Southern Lee gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 14-3 margin over the Western Harnett Eagles. For the Cavaliers, this counts as revenge for the 4-3 win the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.
Bryan McCollum was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in February of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
