Volleyball Recap: Luling Takes a Loss

Luling was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They came up short against the Poth Pirates, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

Luling was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring ten points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-10, 25-10.

Luling's defeat dropped their record down to 2-23. As for Poth, their victory bumped their record up to 22-16.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Luling will host Goliad at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their 30th straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Poth, they will welcome Nixon-Smiley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
