Basketball Recap: Lanier Christian Academy's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Lanier Christian Academy won the last time they faced Young Americans Christian, and Mekhi Barber did his part to make sure it happened again. The Lanier Christian Academy Lightning strolled past the Young Americans Christian Eagles with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 86-69 thanks in part to Barber, who went 14 of 20 on his way to 29 points in addition to six boards and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Lanier Christian Academy's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Barber, who went 7 for 11 on his way to 15 points and five steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.3 steals per game.

Young Americans Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Damian Crawford and Caleb Blunt.
