Softball Recap: Bryant Takes a Loss

Bryant had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the East Central Hornets on Saturday, falling 13-5. The Hurricanes have struggled against the Hornets recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Bryant saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madelyn Ladnier, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Ida Wright was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

The win made it two in a row for East Central and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Bryant will be playing in front of their home fans against New Hope at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for East Central, they will challenge Ocean Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. East Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
