Softball Recap: McNairy Central Comes Up Short

If McNairy Central was feeling good fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Chester County on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bobcats took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lexington Tigers on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Bobcats in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost six in a row.

McNairy Central's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Lexington, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-9-2 record this season.

McNairy Central wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-0 win against Hardin County on the 15th. As for Lexington, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-7 victory against Jackson North Side on the 15th.
