After losing to Carbondale the last time they met, Poplar Bluff decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Mules narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Terriers 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Poplar Bluff were the better team in the second half.

Poplar Bluff's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three matchups. As for Carbondale, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
