Volleyball Recap: John Yowell Academy Takes a Loss

John Yowell Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Central Davidson Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in March.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-11, 25-9.

John Yowell Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Central Davidson, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

John Yowell Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Winston Salem Christian at 5:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for Central Davidson, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against A.L. Brown on the 15th.
