While Nekoosa didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They secured a 53-48 W over the Kickapoo Panthers on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Papermakers.

Nekoosa has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Kickapoo, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5.

Nekoosa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 57-32 loss against Wisconsin Dells on the 24th. Kickapoo has also already played their next match, a 55-39 victory against Wabeno/Laona on the 25th.
