Northside Christian dropped down to 13-8 on Saturday, ending the team's eight-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Calvary Christian Warriors by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 on September 9th.

Brielle Nestor paced Northside Christian's offense, picking up ten kills. Nestor got some help from Elle Smith and her 24 assists.

As for Calvary Christian, their victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since September 11th.

Calvary Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Autumn Derksen, who had seven digs and three aces. That's the most digs Derksen has posted over her last ten contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Badyna, who had nine digs and six assists.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Northside Christian will square off against IMG Academy Royal at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Calvary Christian, they will take on Tampa Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
