Santa Monica had won six straight at home, but on Tuesday they bumped their record up to 16-5 to make it seven. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Culver City Centaurs. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Centaurs: they've now won three in a row.

As for Culver City, they moved to 9-12 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak. They were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the six games prior), but Santa Monica's pitchers proved too tough.

For Culver City's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miami McRae, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Santa Monica will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Centaurs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
