Volleyball Recap: Liberty Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Tuesday. Liberty Christian Academy came up short against Delaware Christian, falling 3-0. Liberty Christian Academy was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Delaware Christian earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Liberty Christian Academy was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Delaware Christian work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-10, 25-16.

Madi Gohn paced Liberty Christian Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Gohn got some help from Lucy Widrig and her 17 assists. Natalie Holp controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Liberty Christian Academy dropped their record down to 6-12 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Delaware Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-13 record this season.
