Soccer Recap: Tempe Comes Up Short

If Tempe was riding high fresh off their 5-1 takedown of McClintock back in December of 2024, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tempe Buffaloes fell just short of the Fairfax Stampede by a score of 3-2 on Saturday.

Tempe's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Fairfax, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2-1.

Tempe will challenge St. Mary's at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Mary's is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.2 goals per game this season. As for Fairfax, they will take on Chaparral at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. Fairfax also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 3.4 goals per game.
