Ramapo entered their tilt with Hackensack on Tuesday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Their defense stepped up to hand the Comets a 3-0 shutout. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Ramapo's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey soccer rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Hackensack are ranked 241st).

Ramapo's victory bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Hackensack, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Ramapo will head out to face off against Paramus at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hackensack, they will venture away from home to challenge Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
