Basketball Game Preview: Huntingdon Bearcats vs. Penn Cambria Panthers

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Huntingdon Bearcats duke it out with the Penn Cambria Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday... Penn Cambria took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Huntingdon, who comes in off a win.

Last Wednesday, Huntingdon was fully in charge, breezing past Philipsburg-Osceola 82-54. The Bearcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Penn Cambria suffered their biggest loss since December 28, 2024 on Wednesday. They came up short against Greater Johnstown, falling 73-48. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Huntingdon will need focus on slowing down Brandon Rabish, one of several Penn Cambria players who made an impact when they last played. He went 5 of 11 en route to 13 points. Another player making a difference was Caden Gibbons, who posted nine points.

Penn Cambria's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-8. As for Huntingdon, the win also got them back to even at 8-8.

Huntingdon was taken down by Penn Cambria 80-50 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Huntingdon was down 45-23.
