Basketball Recap: Lake Travis Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Leander, Lake Travis was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Chaparral Bobcats 54-51.

Kyle Kihlberg had an outrageously good game as he went 9 of 13 en route to 21 points and seven rebounds. Those 21 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Shaver, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 14 points.

Lake Travis' win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Chaparral, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Lake Travis wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 60-50 defeat against Liberty Hill on the 7th. As for Chaparral, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 50-41 victory against Magnolia on the 7th.
