Football Recap: Dallas Jesuit Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Dallas Jesuit and Guyer squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Dallas Jesuit had to settle for second. They were dealt a 44-14 defeat at the hands of the Wildcats. If the Rangers were looking for revenge after losing 56-7 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in November of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Beck Berry threw for 153 yards and one touchdown. Cade Kirby was his top target, picking up 117 receiving yards.

Guyer's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carter Morgan led the charge by throwing for 132 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 84.6% of his passes, and also rushing for 46 yards and one score. The dominant performance also gave Morgan a new career-high in passing touchdowns (two). Kaedyn Cobbs was another key back, rushing for 90 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 11 carries.

With the loss, Dallas Jesuit broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-6. As for Guyer, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2.

Dallas Jesuit does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Guyer, they will challenge Byron Nelson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Bobcat have now posted at least 31 points in their last six contests.
