Recap: Buena Chiefs vs. Atlantic City Vikings
On Monday, Buena took a serious blow against Atlantic City, falling 52-15. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Buena has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Atlantic City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bridget Roach, who scored ten points along with six steals and five rebounds. Roach hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Taison Parker, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.
Buena has not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Atlantic City, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-14.
Buena will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Pennsauken Tech at 4:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in New Jersey (Pennsauken Tech is ranked 353rd, while Buena is ranked 363rd). As for Atlantic City, they will head out on the road to challenge Middle Township at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Atlantic City is coming into the contest with six straight wins on the road, meaning Middle Township will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory.
