Volleyball Recap: Brooklyn Hurricanes vs. Trinity Trojans
Brooklyn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Trinity Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hurricanes of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.
Brooklyn was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Trinity work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 27-25, 9-25, 25-15.
Even though they lost, Brooklyn was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in five consecutive matches.
Brooklyn's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Trinity, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-15.
Brooklyn has already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Medina Christian Academy on the 16th. As for Trinity, they will head out to take on Struthers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Trinity is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
