Basketball Recap: Uvalde Takes a Loss

Uvalde was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They came up short against the Floresville Tigers/Jaguars, falling 55-32. The contest marked the Coyotes/Lobos (for girls)'s lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Ryland Parker was his usual excellent self, going 7 of 12 on his way to 19 points for Floresville. With that strong performance, Parker is now averaging an impressive 15 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Samuel Rodriguez, who went 6 for 14 en route to 13 points.

Uvalde's defeat dropped their record down to 8-18. As for Floresville, their win bumped their record up to 11-16.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Carrizo Springs the next time they take the court. Floresville will host Carrizo Springs at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Uvalde will head out to face them at 6:15 p.m. on January 31st.
