Volleyball Recap: Cair Paravel Takes Down Atchison County in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Cair Paravel walked away with it. They came out on top against the Atchison County Tigers by a score of 2-0 on Monday. The win was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on four straight.

Leading Cair Paravel to victory were Clare Everhart and Megan Bonura. Everhart had 17 assists and five aces, while Bonura had six aces. Everhart is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 24 games she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Cair Paravel was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Cair Paravel's victory bumped their record up to 19-12. As for Atchison County, they are on a 32-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-29.

Cair Paravel wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Jefferson County North on the 20th. Atchison County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
