Recap: HomeSchool Resource Center Patriots vs. Westlake Christian Academy Eagles

The HomeSchool Resource Center Patriots waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past Westlake Christian Academy 55-33. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory HomeSchool Resource Center has posted since December 29, 2023.

It was another big night for Mason O'Neal, who scored 25 points along with five rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Fredrick Jefferson, who scored nine points along with five steals.

When it comes to explaining why Westlake Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Asa Anderson. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Anderson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Patrick Johnson, who scored four points along with five rebounds.

HomeSchool Resource Center pushed their record up to 12-14 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Westlake Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

HomeSchool Resource Center will take on Cincinnati Trailblazers HomeSchool at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Westlake Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Kankakee Trinity Academy at 11:30 a.m. on January 20th. Kankakee Trinity Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Westlake Christian Academy likes a good challenge.
