Rocky Mount had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.8 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Monday. They strolled past the Southern Nash Firebirds with points to spare, taking the game 22-6. This was a revenge game for the Gryphons: when they faced off against the Firebirds back in September, they had to take a 9-8 loss.

A big part of Rocky Mount's win came down to the chemistry between Ja'Zyia Daniel and her top target Miracle Farmer. Daniel threw for 126 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.7% of her passes while Farmer gained 121 total yards and a touchdown. Those 126 passing yards gave Daniel a new career-high.

Rocky Mount didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kira Jones and Kennedy Grant.

Rocky Mount's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Southern Nash, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-1.

Rocky Mount didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 18-6 win against Nash Central on the 3rd. As for Southern Nash, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 23-0 victory against Beddingfield on the 3rd.
