Softball Recap: Marion Takes a Loss

Marion lost against Chilhowie last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Marion lost 10-1 to Chilhowie. The Scarlet Hurricanes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marion now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Chilhowie, the win keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marion will head out to challenge Rural Retreat at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Rural Retreat's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Marion's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Chilhowie, they will take on Fort Chiswell at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Chilhowie's pitchers better be ready for this one: Fort Chiswell has averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
