Softball Recap: Willows Find Success

Willows won the last time they faced Paradise and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Honkers walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Bobcats.

Kimberly Garrison made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Adrianna Hurlburt, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabi Cano, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

The win got Willows back to even at 4-4. As for Paradise, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Willows beat the Bobcats by a score of 9-3 on Thursday.
