Baseball Recap: St. Pius X Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

St. Pius X waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Rio Grande Ravens by a score of 11-8. The Sartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Ravens, too.

The team relied heavily on Jax Mulville, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Madrid, who went 2-for-5 with one stolen base and one RBI.

St. Pius X's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Rio Grande, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Looking ahead, St. Pius X will face off against Los Lunas at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rio Grande, they will host Manzano at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rio Grande's pitchers better be ready for this one: Manzano has averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
