Baseball Recap: Napoleon Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Napoleon and Benedictine squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Napoleon had to settle for second. They fell 3-0 to the Bengals. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Wildcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Napoleon saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trey Rubinstein, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Napoleon's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-7-1. As for Benedictine, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-11.

Napoleon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Benedictine, they will take on Perkins at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Bengals surely won't give up without a fight.
