Baseball Recap: Ware Picks Up Eighth Straight Win at Home

Ware won the last time they faced South Hadley and things went their way on Thursday too. The Indians never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by ten runs or more this season.

Ware got a great performance from Brady Guimond as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Guimond has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Owen McKeever, who went 2-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Kaczuwka, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI.

Ware kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive matches.

Ware pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 8.8 runs thus far. As for South Hadley, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-4 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ware will host Hopkins Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for South Hadley, they will be playing at home against Smith Vo-Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
