Volleyball Recap: Wakefield Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wakefield can now relate to. They fell 2-0 to the Marais des Cygnes Valley Trojans on Tuesday. The Bombers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-4.

Ella Reed was the offensive standout of the contest as she had six aces. Those six aces gave her a new career-high.

Wakefield's loss dropped their record down to 3-24-1. As for Marais des Cygnes Valley, their win was their 18th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 36-2.

As of now, neither Wakefield nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
