Basketball Recap: Boca Raton Christian Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Boca Raton Christian's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Everything went their way against the Avant Garde Academy Sharks as the Boca Raton Christian Blazers made off with a 79-56 win.

Joshua Good was nothing short of spectacular: he went 10 for 17 on his way to 37 points in addition to seven boards and seven steals. Those seven steals gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Jeemias, who posted 13 points and three steals.

Several Sharks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sergei Mikhalev, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 17 points and six rebounds. Landon Guzman was another key player, putting up 12 points along with six boards and five steals.

Boca Raton Christian's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-1. As for Avant Garde Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Boca Raton Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 82-66 loss against Pine on the 5th. As for Avant Garde Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-42 win against Greenacres Christian on the 5th.
