Football Recap: Brighton Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Brighton extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-9. They lost 45-22 to the Fossil Ridge SaberCats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 42-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

Despite the loss, Brighton still got an impressive performance from Tc Lindemann, who threw for 323 yards and two touchdowns.

As for Fossil Ridge, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-8. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

A big part of Fossil Ridge's win came down to the chemistry between Colton Jantz and his top target Eli Swanson. Jantz threw for 413 yards and five TDs while completing 77.8% of his passes while Swanson picked up 195 receiving yards and four scores. Jantz's passing game has become a key predictor of Fossil Ridge's success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 0-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Brayden Higgins, who picked up 97 receiving yards and one touchdown.

As of now, neither Brighton nor Fossil Ridge have any future games scheduled.
